Anastasia B. Wohar
Ms. Wohar is an associate at Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer, Brecher & Miller P.C. Her practice is focused primarily on the representation of victims involved in motor vehicle, bicycle, trucking, and pedestrian accidents, slip or trip and falls, premises liability, products liability, and construction site accidents. Ms. Wohar was elected as a 2019 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer/Rising Star in the practice area of Plaintiff Personal Injury.
Ms. Wohar is a 2008 graduate of Ursinus College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, and a Double Minor in Politics & Pre-Law and Performing Arts with a specialization in Dance Choreography. She received her Juris Doctor degree in 2012 from the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida.
After law school, Ms. Wohar Ms. Wohar was barred in Florida in July of 2012. While working full-time as a commercial litigator in Miami, Florida, Ms. Wohar successfully sat for the New York and New Jersey Bar Examinations in 2014, and the Pennsylvania Bar Examination in 2016. From 2014 to 2017, Ms. Wohar practiced in both Florida and the Greater New York City area while living in Miami. Upon her return to the Philadelphia area in early 2017, she continue to practice law in the Greater New York City area as well as New Jersey before joining the Wapner Newman team in 2018. Her practice area is focused in Plaintiff Personal Injury in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State of New Jersey, State of New York, and State of Florida, and before the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania; District of New Jersey; Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of New York; and the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida. She is a member Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association.
Ms. Wohar has instructed substantive CLE courses in Mindfulness and Leadership by offering lawyers ways to de-stress and improve mental health through exercise, meditation, development of core competencies, and time management.
Outside of the office, this past winter and spring, Ms. Wohar trained for and raced the Boston Marathon, which was held in April 2019. She enjoys racing in triathlons and duathlons in the summertime. Her next marathon will be the Philadelphia Marathon this upcoming November. She also volunteers at local running events, and enjoys spending her free-time at home with her family and her special needs brother.
