Robert A. Newman, one of the Founders of Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer, Brecher & Miller, is recognized as one of the outstanding litigation attorneys in Pennsylvania. He has been involved in cutting edge litigation throughout his career.

Mr. Newman concentrates his practice in complex, civil litigation including medical malpractice, products liability, pharmaceutical, class actions, wrongful death, professional liability and other personal injury matters.

He earned his bachelors degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1967 and his law degree from the Temple University School of Law in 1972. Prior to establishing Wapner Newman, Mr. Newman served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Merna B. Marshall from 1971-1972 and to the Honorable Charles P. Mirarchi from 1972-1973.

Mr. Newman has served in various leadership roles for the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association including President from 1993-1994. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia Bar Association, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of American and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association where he once sat on the Board of Governors. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (1971), before the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania (1972) and the United State Supreme Court (1977).
