Robert A. Newman – one of the founders of Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer, Brecher & Miller – is recognized as a top litigation attorney in Pennsylvania. Mr. Newman has been involved in cutting edge litigation throughout his career, focusing his practice on complex civil litigation, including:

Mr. Newman earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1967, and his law degree from the Temple University School of Law in 1972. Prior to establishing Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer, Brecher & Miller, Mr. Newman served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Merna B. Marshall from 1971-1972, and to the Honorable Charles P. Mirarchi from 1972-1973.
Mr. Newman has served in various leadership roles for the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, including President from 1993-1994. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia Bar Associations, as well as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, where he once sat on the Board of Governors.
In 2009, Mr. Newman became of counsel to the firm.
