Oregon GOP pushes limits on medical malpractice liability
Many state legislatures are proposing legislation which would impose unfair financial limitations upon the amount a jury could award to innocent victims of medical malpractice. These damages caps discriminate against the poor and the elderly and those who were without employment at the time that their case arose. Moreover, there is absolutely no evidence that they reduce the cost of insurance, a frequent argument for using caps. Let’s join together and fight to stop these anti-consumer proposals.
