Adam Getson has been proud to be an active Trial Attorney practicing in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware since 2003. Mr. Getson joined Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer, Brecher & Miller, P.C. as an Associate in April 2004 and focuses his practice in plaintiffs' Civil Trial Litigation. He has successfully represented many injured victims in a variety of accidents, including automobile crashes, dog bites, product malfunctions, dram shop liability, slips/trips and falls, medical malpractice, construction site accidents and other personal injury matters. He has litigated hundreds of cases in counties throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
In 2000, Mr. Getson earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh and was named to the National Deans List of America. In 2002, Mr. Getson studied International Law at Australia's prestigious University of Technology Sydney Law School. He received his Juris Doctor from Widener School of Law in 2003, where he was a graduate of the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program.
Mr. Getson is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (2003) and New Jersey (2003), as well as before the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (2004) and the District of New Jersey (2004.) He also serves as an Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and in private Alternative Dispute Resolutions.
While at WNWB&M, in March 2008, one of Mr. Getson’s many jury verdicts was published in Volume 26, Issue 4 of the Pennsylvania Jury Verdict Review & Analysis.
In 2012, Mr. Getson was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Thompson Legal. This award recognizes no more then 2.5% of the up-and-coming attorneys who are 40 years old or younger who have demonstrated a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement as a “Rising Stars” in the practice of Pennsylvania law.
Mr. Getson is a proud member of the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America), Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, and Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Philadelphia Bar Associations.
Mr. Getson has presented lectures in personal injury law; practicing the law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; and, legal ethics to students and professionals. He is also an active volunteer for the Philadelphia Cares program and mentor to many students in the Philadelphia School District.
