Steven G. Wigrizer
Verdicts & Settlements
Wapner, Newman, Wigrizer & Brecher partner Steven G. Wigrizer has settled a case involving two burn injuries on the upper back area received by a Philadelphia woman during physical therapy in a doctor's office. The burns occurred during electrical stimulation which is a commonly used type of therapy to relieve musculo-skeletal pain and muscle spasm. Wigrizer argued that the machine was turned up too high for too long a period of time and further that the patient should have been monitored during the therapy. The case settled just prior to jury selection.
